Do Not Command The Angels,
But Speak To Them

Pray to God,
Speak to the Angels,
Command the work of God,
And cast out every form of evil.
Do all these out of love.

The Man Who Saw God Face To Face

Introduction
On several occasion, I have heard ministers of God who claim to command the Angels. One minister said in his prayers, “I command the Angels to go and accomplish my aims." During my discussion with a lady minister, she said, “The Angels are just ministering spirits. I command them to go and do what I want.” When I objected to her statement, she said, “Are they not my Guardian Angels? I just command them and they go and do what I say.”
All the above narrations show how stupid and misguided people can be. And there are so many who are already practicing such acts of foolishness and vulgarity.

The Right Way
All Angelic visitations as recoded in the Bible show that people should not, and cannot, command the Angels. You can only speak to them. Even prayers should not be directed to the Angels. You should pray to God, and only Him shall you serve and worship. In fact, the Angels do not obey any other person except God.
“But Michael commands the Angels,” some people would remark. Yes, he commands the Angels. But Michael is full of nothing but Holy Spirit, and Holy Spirit is God. Therefore, when the Angels obey Michael, they are simply and directly obeying God. Before you can command Angels, you must have the garment of righteousness, the robe of salvation, the mantle of praise, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, the victory of the blood, the perfection of the Word and the seal of the Almighty.
The seal of the Almighty is a garment of power and authority. Whoever that puts on the garment is able to lead, coordinate and control the Angels. I have seen this garment of power and authority. It belongs to Jesus. And he grives to whoever that merits it, but not to everybody. All the riches and honours of the world are as nothing when compared to one of such garments. A wise man would sell all the world and its riches and honours in order to buy just one of the glorious garments. Yet, all the proceeds from the sale amount to insignificance in comparison to the garment. It is a garment of perfection. The lines of sowing are not threads of wools, but rather rays of light, such that spirit Angels were in them, within those lines. That is, once you put on this garment, you have power and authority to control Angels.

A Great Rebuke
One day, the Lord appeared in the midst of His people at Nnobi, Anambra State, Nigeria. He was seriously rebuking against misconduct. An elder of church was mediating between God and the congregation. When the head of the church arrived, the elder withdrew, saying, “I am now withdrawing because he head is now present.” And the Lord immediately said, “How come that wisdom is lacking in your congregation? Why is it that people do not know how to respect constituted authorities?”
On that day, it become clear to me that people must be responsible enough and wisely disciplined to respect constituted, to give honour to whom honour is due. As in the Police and Military, whenever a senior officer takes over a case, the junior officers who are already handling the case promptly - immediately and willingly - submit to the authority of the senior officer. Several case studies are presented hereunder to help the world understand how to relate with Angels. Always remember that Angels obey none expect God. Only within this context do they relate with any other person – to the extent the person’s statements are in compliance with the will of God.
The implications of God’s remark are as follows:
  1. Always respect and obey constituted authorities.
  2. Always follow due process.
  3. Avoid the bad habit of jumping queue.
  4. Avoid short cuts, because they eventually create many more problems for you.
  5. Do not neglect the junior officers, simply because you know the man at the top.
  6. Stop the illegal practice of bypassing the junior officers in order to meet the head.
  7. Learn to speak with politeness.
Comparison Of An Angel And A Man
Here are great differences in nature, power and characters of Angel and man. Man has the inherent ability to attain Angelic status, except that many are not interested in knowing the Truth and practising it through Spiritual Science.
  1. The power of an Angel is more than one thousand times the power of man.

  2. A man sees only what is in his front, while an Angel sees in all directions at the same time. The Angel sees what is in his front, in the back, on the sides, over and below himself - all at the same time.

  3. A man sees clearly only during the day, but an Angel sees both in the light and in the darkness.

  4. A man knows little or nothing, whereas an Angel has exceedingly broad knowledge, wealth of experience, great foresight, deep insight and wonderful understanding.

  5. A human being is able to move on the land only. On the other hand, an Angel can move on the land, in the air, inside the waters and even pass through solids.

  6. A man is mainly visible on earth, but an Angel can make himself both visible and invisible.

  7. Man is inferior to the Angels. However, everyone who desires and makes earnest efforts, through Spiritual Science, can attain the level of Angels, even more than that.

    "Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
    Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
    Come , buy and eat.
Yes, come , buy wine and milk
    Without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
    Isaiah 55:1-2

The only way to attain this great and wonderful nature is by Spiritual Science. That is why Jesus said that whoever that will worship God must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Again, He said "You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free." Which means that reading holy books and attending routine worship are not enough.

Only The Perfect Can Command Angels
Only the perfect and Godly man can command an Angel, who is at a lower spiritual level. The perfect one has attained God, became God, is God and is one with God Almighty. By then, he no longer has a will of his own. God’s will becomes his will, and whatever he says or does, is no longer himself doing so, but God Almighty living and working in him and through him. Jesus was a very good example:

8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me ? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me , or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. John 14:8-11

The reality, as of today, is that very few or no human beings have attained the very nature of God. Even the saints are very few in the midst of humanity. That is why, in most of the accounts of individuals who met God or Jesus, they only saw the presence of God, but could not see His face or form. To be able to see God, you must become God. That is the law of spirit – Birds of the same feather flock together.

Judging The Angels
According to St Paul, man shall judge the Angels on the last day. It does not mean that everybody can judge the Angels. It is only the saints that can judge the fallen Angels, for whoever that is righteous is spiritually superior to any spirit that does evil.

And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? 1 Corinthians 6:2-3

The saint shall judge the Angels by telling the Angels that they did wrong. Again, the Saints are able to use the name of God to bind and cast out evil spirits, demons, mermaids, ghosts, witches and black energies.

Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: 21 "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom , it would have remained until this day. 24 But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you." Matthew 11:24

Not By Power Nor By Might
Even when people of God cast out evil spirits, they do so, not by power nor by might, but by the Holy Spirit. That is why everybody should live a righteous life, so that he shall always be full of the Holy Spirit.
According to what Archangel Raphael said, “The power of man is not up to half a hair of Satan. Yet, the children of God defeat Satan in the name of Jesus”. Any person who cannot command the evil spirits, cannot and should not, command the holy Angels. The Angels of God are incomparably more powerful than the fallen Angels.

Respect And Honour The Angels
Jesus made it clear that there is priority of order, called hierarchy, in heaven. 11 "Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." Matthew 11:11-12

Do Not Worship Angels, Mary Or Saints, Because They Are Your Brothers
All the claims that Mary is the Queen of heaven is a man-made doctrine, fabricated out the false logic of spiritually unenlightened priests. Moreover, God warns in the Bible that He has no such thing as Queen of Heaven.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, 2 "Stand in the gate of the Lord's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, 'Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who enter in at these gates to worship the Lord!'" 3 Thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel:"Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. 4 Do not trust in these lying words, saying, 'The temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord are these.'

12 "But go now to My place which was in Shiloh, where I set My name at the first, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of My people Israel. 13 And now, because you have done all these works," says the Lord, "and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not hear, and I called you, but you did not answer, 14 therefore I will do to the house which is called by My name, in which you trust, and to this place which I gave to you and your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh. 15 And I will cast you out of My sight, as I have cast out all your brethren — the whole posterity of Ephraim.

16 "Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them, nor make intercession to Me; for I will not hear you. 17 Do you not see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 18 The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven ; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger. 19 Do they provoke Me to anger?" says the Lord. "Do they not provoke themselves, to the shame of their own faces?"

20 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, My anger and My fury will be poured out on this place — on man and on beast, on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground. And it will burn and not be quenched."
Jeremiah 7:20

Stubbornness will only lead people to hell fire:
25 Thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, saying: 'You and your wives have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled with your hands, saying, "We will surely keep our vows that we have made, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her." You will surely keep your vows and perform your vows!' 26 Therefore hear the word of the Lord, all Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: 'Behold, I have sworn by My great name,' says the Lord, 'that My name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, "The Lord GOD lives." 27 Behold, I will watch over them for adversity and not for good. And all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by famine, until there is an end to them. 28 Yet a small number who escape the sword shall return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah; and all the remnant of Judah, who have gone to the land of Egypt to dwell there, shall know whose words will stand, Mine or theirs. 29 And this shall be a sign to you,' says the Lord, 'that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for adversity.' " Jeremiah 44:25-29

The Concept Of Ministering Spirit
Many feel that they can command the Angels because the scriptures say that Angels are ministering spirits.

14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:14

Truly, the Angels are ministering spirits. But, they minister to God for the benefit of humanity. They take orders from the throne of God, to attend to the needs of people. That does not mean that human beings are free to command the Angels as if the Angels are slaves.
Take the example of government officials. The Police, the Army, the Ministers and Commissioners are everyday ministering to the ordinary masses, by attending to the needs of the citizens. That does not mean that people are free or authorized to control the serving officers. The serving officers take directives from the top, from the government, being always guided by established laws and due processes.

Man Has Limited Knowledge
Man has limited knowledge, poor skill and low capability. He does not know his spiritual needs and talents. He does not know his enemies (the evil spirits) and their tricks, and does not know the battlefronts or how to wage spiritual warfare. He is like a helpless child in a hopeless condition, if left alone. He needs help, guidance, enlightenment and power. He is like a beggar, who never commands his benefactors, and like a student who never dictates for his teachers. Only those who study and practice Spiritual Science can attain the level of Angels. Everybody can, but many are spiritually lazy.

Case Study 1 - The Israelites And The Pillar Of Fire
When the Israelites were traveling in the wilderness, they were being led and protected by a pillar of fire. What the Israelites called a pillar of fire was the angel of God, who was physically manifest before them. They could not clearly see the Angel, because they were not spiritually awake, enlightened and experienced. Their level of vibration was low, very sluggish, compared to the level of vibration of the Angel, which was indeed very high.
A very good analogy is the fan blade. When the fan moves slowly, you see the blades as three and each as separate. But, when the same fan moves very fast, the fan blades disappear and form what looks like a uniform diffusion of gas in a circular form.
While in the wilderness, the Angel was seeing each of the Israelites, clearly and separately, but the Israelites were not seeing him. Of this Angel, God said

"12 Also you shall have a place outside the camp, where you may go out; 13 and you shall have an implement among your equipment, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig with it and turn and cover your refuse. 14 For the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and give your enemies over to you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that He may see no unclean thing among you, and turn away from you."

Case Study 2- The Psalms Makes It Clear That God Created Man As Less Than The Gods.
The Gods here means the Angels:

4 What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

Psalms 8:4-5

The above bible verse shows that the spiritual level of humanity is crudely very low, when compared to the glorious state of the Angels. However, a man can attain the spiritual level of the Angels. The real problem is that people do not know how to do so. And majority are not even making attempt, while many do not even know that such development and attainment is possible through …

Case Study 3 - Prophet Balam Could Not Command His Horse, Let Alone An Angel
When King Balaack wanted to curse the Israelites, he invited prophet Balaam. On his way to do what Balaack wanted, an Angel blocked the road. The mule saw the Angel and refused to move further. Despite the fact that Balaam flocked the horse, it did not move. Then, the Lord opened Balaam’s eye so that he could see the Angel standing in the way.

Then God's anger was aroused because he went, and the Angel of the LORD took His stand in the way as an adversary against him. And he was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. 23 Now the donkey saw the Angel of the LORD standing in the way with His drawn sword in His hand, and the donkey turned aside out of the way and went into the field. So Balaam struck the donkey to turn her back onto the road. 24 Then the Angel of the LORD stood in a narrow path between the vineyards, with a wall on this side and a wall on that side. 25 And when the donkey saw the Angel of the LORD, she pushed herself against the wall and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall; so he struck her again. 26 Then the Angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place where there was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. 27 And when the donkey saw the Angel of the LORD, she lay down under Balaam ; so Balaam's anger was aroused, and he struck the donkey with his staff.

28 Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam , "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?"
29 And Balaam said to the donkey, "Because you have abused me. I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would kill you!"
30 So the donkey said to Balaam , "Am I not your donkey on which you have ridden, ever since I became yours, to this day? Was I ever disposed to do this to you?"
And he said, "No."
31 Then the LORD opened Balaam's eyes, and he saw the Angel of the LORD standing in the way with His drawn sword in His hand; and he bowed his head and fell flat on his face. 32 And the Angel of the LORD said to him, "Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to stand against you, because your way is perverse before Me. 33 The donkey saw Me and turned aside from Me these three times. If she had not turned aside from Me, surely I would also have killed you by now, and let her live." Numbers 22:22-33

In the above incident, it was the Angel that was commanding the man Balaam, and not Balaam that was commanding the Angel.

Case Study 4 - The Israelites Were Led By The Pillar Of Fire
While the Israelites moved in the wilderness, the pillar of fire was leading the way. The pillar of fire determined when the Israelites should move and when they were to camp. It was not the Israelites or Moses that was directing or commanding the Angel.

20 So they took their journey from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness. 21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people. Exodus 13:20-22

19 Yet in Your manifold mercies
You did not forsake them in the wilderness.
The pillar of the cloud did not depart from them by day,
To lead them on the road;
Nor the pillar of fire by night,
To show them light,
And the way they should go.

Nehemiah 9:19

Case Study 5 - Joshua Met An Angel
When the Israelites were about to enter Jericho, Joshua met an Angel of God who was a commander of the Lord’s Army. In the encounter, it was the Angel who gave directions to Joshua and not Joshua directing the Angel.

13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho , that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, "Are You for us or for our adversaries?"
14 So He said, "No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come."
And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, "What does my Lord say to His servant?"
15 Then the Commander of the LORD's army said to Joshua,"Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy." And Joshua did so.

Joshua 5:13-15

Case Study 6 - Daniel Could Not Withstand The Powerful Radiation From Angel Gabriel
Daniel met Angel Gabriel and fainted. He could not withstand the powerful radiation from the body of Angel Gabriel. Gabriel had to give Daniel strength and courage before Daniel could stand up. The weak does not, and cannot, command the strong.

4 Now on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, that is, the Tigris, 5 I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose waist was girded with gold of Uphaz! 6 His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze in color, and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude.

7 And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great terror fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. 8 Therefore I was left alone when I saw this great vision, and no strength remained in me; for my vigor was turned to frailty in me, and I retained no strength. 9 Yet I heard the sound of his words; and while I heard the sound of his words I was in a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground.

10 Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands.
11 And he said to me, "O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling. Daniel 10:4-11

Case Study 7- Apostle John Could Not Withstand The Glory Of Gabriel
Apostle John could not withstand the glorious radiations from the body of Gabriel.

8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.
9 Then he said to me,"See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God." Revelation 22:8-10

Case Study 8 – Jacob Asked For Blessings From An Angel of God
In spirit, Jacob wrestled with an Angel. At the end, Jacob demanded blessing from the Angel. And the Angel blessed him. In order to show Jacob that it was not by his (Jacob’s) power that he wrestled with an Angel, the Angel made him to limp. God permitted the wrestling in order to show Jacob that he is a great prince of God. But that does not necessarily mean that Jacob can command Angels anytime and anyhow.

24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. 25 Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. 26 And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks."
But he said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!"
27 So He said to him, "What is your name?"
He said, "Jacob."
28 And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob , but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed."
29 Then Jacob asked, saying, "Tell me Your name, I pray."
And He said, "Why is it that you ask about My name?" And He blessed him there.
30 So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: "For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." 31 Just as he crossed over Penuel the sun rose on him, and he limped on his hip. 32 Therefore to this day the children of Israel do not eat the muscle that shrank, which is on the hip socket, because He touched the socket of Jacob's hip in the muscle that shrank.
Genesis 32:23-32

Case Study 9 – The Glory Of An Angel Fills The Whole Earth
The bible records that an Angel of God appeared on the sky and the glorious light of his body filled the whole world. Compare the Angel to man. Man has not been able to radiate light to fill a room or compound, let alone the horizon.

After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. Revelation 18:1-2
